She is holding an Utpala flower in her left hand while making the "Varada Mudra," a gesture of charity and compassion. She has her left leg extended forward, indicating her readiness to spring into action to help sentient beings. Two utpala flowers can be seen blooming beside each of her shoulders, representing purity and enlightenment.
