Green Tara Bodhisattva Art | Revered Deities In Tibetan Buddhism | Mother of all Buddhas

Protector Deity Green Tara Bodhisattva Art | Shyama Tara Artwork

Green Tara Bodhisattva art is meticulously hand-painted by skilled artists at Enlightenment Studio on handmade cotton canvas using traditional techniques. Multiple layers of natural gesso are applied to the canvas to provide a smooth, long-lasting surface that allows for fine detailing and detailed brushwork. The vivid, long-lasting hues that give life to Green Tara's flowing robes, lotus throne, and sacred decorations are created using natural stone pigments. Her crown, halo, and ornamental elements are highlighted with genuine 24K gold to create a dazzling and auspicious radiance throughout the composition. This thangka, painted in the Karma Gadri style, combines deep spiritual meaning with traditional Himalayan art to create a beautiful piece for worship and a source of protection, blessings, and compassion.

Green Tara, also known as Shyamatara, is one of the most revered forms of the deity in the context of Tibetan Buddhism and is revered for her swift and compassionate protection. She is a deity of mercy and can vanquish fear and danger while providing immediate help to those who need it. She is depicted sitting on a lotus with one leg stretched out and can jump into action at a moment’s notice. Her association with the color green represents her deep association with the earth and her ability to remove obstacles with speed and efficiency. Her mantra is widely recited to seek her blessings and overcome physical, emotional, and spiritual challenges. She represents the loving and compassionate aspect of Buddha’s wisdom and provides healing and peace to all who seek her blessings. Her figure represents the potential of compassion and awareness to overcome the obstacles of life.
