Product Description
Sacred Female Goddess Vajrayogini (Dorje Naljorma) | Female Buddha of Transformation
In Tibetan Buddhism, the female goddess Vajrayogini, also called Dorje Naljorma, embodies supreme knowledge and compassion. She is revered as a ferocious and intense goddess who transforms passion and desire into a way to enlightenment. Capturing Vajrayogini's strong yet elegant demeanor, this beautiful thangka is meticulously hand-painted with vibrant acrylic colors and adorned with genuine gold. Each element's intricate workmanship, which is created on cotton canvas, demonstrates the accuracy and commitment that characterize traditional Karma Gadri artistry. The use of gold highlights on crowns, ornaments, and sacred elements adds a radiant touch, while the natural textures of the canvas bring depth and richness to the painting.
The Karma Gadri is a popular artwork featuring the vibrant figure of Vajrayogini, symbolizing transformation and spiritual potency. The artwork features subtle gradations of colors and soft backgrounds, allowing Vajrayogini to stand out. The thangka's flowing lines and symmetrical arrangements create a sense of movement, symbolizing Vajrayogini's dance of liberation.
Vajrayogini is portrayed with a red body, adorned with bone ornaments and a five-skull crown, symbolizing her triumph over emotional poisons. She holds a curved knife with a vajra handle, representing the cutting of worldly attachments, and a skull cup filled with blood, symbolizing the purification of negativity. The wisdom fire halo encircles her, representing the burning away of ignorance. Vajrayogini stands triumphantly on Bhairav and Kalarati, symbolizing victory over obstacles and inner demons. This original thangka is an inspiring element for meditation and spiritual practice, and it can be beautifully framed in brocade to elevate its spiritual significance.
