Painted in the delicate Karma Gadri style, this thangka features a immense composition and soft, flowing details that enhance its meditative presence.
White Tara, often regarded as the goddess of compassion and healing, is a key figure in Tibetan Buddhism. She is shown in the meditative lotus position (padmasana), which symbolizes balance, peace, and spiritual enlightenment. Her right hand is in the Varada mudra, symbolizing blessing and healing. Her left hand extends, holding a lotus flower, offering safety and comfort to those in need. White Tara's seven eyes, situated on her forehead, hands, and feet, symbolize her omniscient awareness of suffering and her unwavering dedication to alleviating it with boundless compassion. Her posture and gestures emphasize her role as a protector and healer, making her a powerful symbol of longevity, peace, and care in Tibetan tradition.
