About Our Product

This Divine Sage Buddha Shakyamuni Statue is a handcrafted Himalayan Buddhist artwork measuring 21cm in height, 14cm in length, and 9.5cm in width, with a weight of 1.3 kg. Made from a copper body with 24K gold plating and acrylic colors, this sacred sculpture represents Shakyamuni Buddha, the historical Buddha and the teacher who shared the path of wisdom, compassion, and liberation. His peaceful expression and calm seated posture reflect enlightenment, inner peace, and the journey toward awakening.

This Shakyamuni Buddha statue displays detailed traditional craftsmanship and meaningful Buddhist symbols. He is shown seated in a meditative posture with his right hand touching the ground in Bhumisparsha Mudra, representing the moment of his enlightenment when he called upon the earth as a witness to his realization. His left hand rests in Dhyana Mudra, the meditation gesture, holding an alms bowl that symbolizes simplicity, wisdom, and the path of spiritual practice. The detailed robes, curled hair, peaceful face, and carefully carved ornaments reflect the skill of Himalayan artisans. The statue rests on a beautifully decorated lotus base, symbolizing purity, spiritual growth, and the path toward enlightenment.

This Shakyamuni Buddha statue is suitable for Buddhist altars, meditation rooms, temples, and sacred home spaces. Revered as the founder of Buddhism, Shakyamuni Buddha inspires practitioners to develop mindfulness, compassion, wisdom, and a peaceful mind. Placing this sacred artwork in a spiritual environment creates a meaningful space for meditation, devotion, and reflection on the teachings of enlightenment.

Introduction of Shakyamuni Buddha

Siddhartha Gautama was born as the crown prince of the powerful Shakya Kingdom, raised to be a king according to his royal father's wishes. However, around age 29, he became aware of humanity's immense suffering. He then renounced his lavish lifestyle, opulent clothing, and fortune to discover the source of this anguish and find a remedy. After nearly six years of study, self-denial, and intense concentration, he achieved his goal: enlightenment (becoming a Buddha). He later claimed to have visited a deer park near Sarnath (Benares), outside Varanasi, India.
