This Gold Plated Disciple Set features two revered figures from Tibetan Buddhist history, Trisong Detsen and Antaraksita. Introduction To Trisong Detsen:

Trisong Detsen, the 8th-century Tibetan emperor who played a pivotal role in establishing Buddhism in Tibet. Revered as one of Tibet’s “Three Dharma Kings,” Trisong Detsen invited great Indian masters such as Padmasambhava and Shantarakshita to Tibet, leading to the translation of key Buddhist scriptures into Tibetan. He is honored for building the first Buddhist monastery in Tibet—Samye Monastery—and for fostering the spread of Vajrayana teachings, making him a central figure in Tibetan spiritual history.

Introduction To Santaraksita:

Shantarakshita, an 8th-century Indian Buddhist scholar and abbot of Nalanda Monastery, revered as one of the key figures who brought Buddhism to Tibet. Invited by Tibetan Emperor Trisong Detsen, Shantarakshita played a vital role in establishing the first Buddhist monastery in Tibet—Samye Monastery—and in introducing the Madhyamaka (Middle Way) philosophy and monastic traditions. He is remembered for laying the intellectual and institutional foundations of Tibetan Buddhism, working alongside Padmasambhava to firmly root the Dharma in Tibetan

How do you take care of your statues?

• Place them at room temperature, avoiding direct sunlight.
• Make sure that the area where your statue is placed is entirely free of moisture and dust.
• Place it at the highest place on your altar after being consecrated by a Lama/monks. The best practice is to keep them covered inside a glass cabinet.
• Do not use your bare hands or any objects with a rough surface to wipe the face. • Directly touching objects with the bare hand can smudge the face, leaving scratches.

Consecration Service Available

Each statue contains a sacred chamber for mantra and relic fillings to bestow spiritual empowerment. During consecration, these sacred items are placed inside and blessed through traditional rituals performed by the ordained monks. There is a fee for this service, offered as a respectful contribution to the monastery.
