Decorative Buddhist Stupa Sculpture of Enlightenment & Peace
About Our Stupa
This beautiful Decorative Buddhist Stupa Sculpture, which stands 63 cm tall and 42 cm wide and weighs about 6.21 kg, is made from a strong copper body covered in layers of fine metal sheet. It is coated in silver and has gold gilding. This holy art has a distinctive touch because every detail is hand-painted. The stupa is frequently used as a meditation aid and a reminder of the spiritual path in Buddhist tradition. It is a profound emblem of the Buddha's enlightened mind.
This majestic Buddhist stupa is rooted in both earthly solidity and divine purpose by its strong square base, which is decorated with sacred "Ranjana" script writing and beautiful black-and-white geometric patterns. While the stupa's main body, or bumpa, symbolizes a lot and has a fine sculpture of the Buddha radiating blessings, the lotus foundation surrounding it symbolizes purity and spiritual elevation. The harmika rises above, its serpentine tendrils representing protection from all sides and its spire, topped with an umbrella and a finial shaped like a flame, representing the path to enlightenment. The stupa is a symbol of calm, knowledge, and spiritual development because of its elaborate intricacies and embedded diamonds, which increase its auspiciousness.
Introduction To Stupa :
Before Buddhism, great teachers were buried in mounds. Some were cremated but sometimes buried in a seated, meditative position. The mound of earth covered them up. Thus, the domed shape of the stupa came to represent a person seated in meditation, much as the Buddha was when he achieved Enlightenment and knowledge of the Four Noble Truths. The stupa's base represents his crossed legs as he sat meditatively. The middle portion is the Buddha’s body and the top of the mound, where a pole rises from the apex surrounded by a small fence, represents his head. Before images of the human Buddha were created, reliefs often depicted practitioners demonstrating devotion to a stupa.
