About our Statue:
This 21.5 cm Handmade Manjushri Statue stands 8.5” (21.5 cm) in height with a base width of 6.9” (17.5 cm) and weighs 1.45 kg. Crafted from an oxidized copper body and adorned with gold and acrylic paintings and inlaid gemstones, it is expertly handcrafted by skilled Nepali artisans. Reflecting both spiritual significance and traditional craftsmanship, this statue makes a meaningful addition to altars, meditation areas, or personal sacred collections.
In its iconography, Manjushri is depicted seated in padmāsana (lotus posture) on a lotus base, holding a sword in the right hand that symbolizes the cutting through of ignorance. In his left hand, he has a lotus bearing the Prajnaparamita scripture, representing the perfection of wisdom. He wears a five-pointed crown and a swirling scarf, highlighting his enlightened status and regal, spiritual presence.
Manjushri guides practitioners on the path to enlightenment by fostering clarity, insight, and understanding, helping them overcome mental obscurations and develop profound knowledge of reality. He is also associated with eloquence and skillful speech, inspiring practitioners to communicate the Dharma effectively.
Introduction To Manjushri :
Manjushri means "very auspicious" in Sanskrit. Manjushri, one of the compassion bodhisattvas, is more famous among Tibetan Buddhists. He, as the Buddha Resplendent, resembles a brilliant sun. Manjushri is a Tibetan name that means "good companion." He also represents the Kadampa Buddhist tradition, recognized by its scholars.
How do you take care of your statues?
Place them at room temperature, avoiding direct sunlight.
Ensure that the area where your statue is placed is entirely free of moisture and dust.
Place it at the highest place on your altar after being consecrated by a Lama/monks. The best practice is to keep them covered inside a glass cabinet.
Do not use your bare hands or any objects with rough surfaces to wipe your face. Directly touching objects with the bare hand can smudge the face, leaving scratches.
