About Our Product
This Buddhist Stupa Descent from Heaven is a sacred Buddhist shrine piece crafted from a copper body, finished with gold plating, and adorned with turquoise and coral gemstones. Measuring 22 cm in height and 12.5 cm in both length and width, with a weight of 0.56 kg, this stupa carries a radiant devotional presence for Buddhist altars, meditation spaces, shrine rooms, and spiritual home decor. Its golden form, colorful gemstone accents, and balanced structure make it a meaningful symbol of enlightenment, wisdom, peace, and sacred remembrance.
The design features a stepped base, central shrine chamber, rising spire, decorative canopy elements, and detailed ornamental carvings throughout the body. Coral and turquoise gemstones are carefully placed across the base, upper structure, and side ornaments, adding color, blessing symbolism, and traditional Himalayan beauty. The architectural form reflects the Descent from Heaven Stupa, representing the Buddha’s return from the heavenly realm to the human world.
In Buddhist tradition, the Descent from Heaven Stupa commemorates the Buddha’s descent from Trāyastriṃśa Heaven to Sankashya after teaching the Abhidharma to his mother, Queen Maya Devi, who passed away seven days after the Buddha’s birth. This sacred event reflects the Buddha’s compassion, gratitude, and dedication to sharing the Dharma for the benefit of all beings. Placed on an altar, this stupa inspires devotion, mindfulness, protection, and peaceful reflection, serving as a reminder that enlightenment is reached through wisdom, compassion, and sincere spiritual practice.
Introduction of Descent from Heaven Stupa
Shakyamuni Buddha descended from heaven after attaining the highest level of enlightenment in the Formless Realm. He intentionally descended to Earth to assist humanity in achieving enlightenment. While in the world, he taught that the Four Noble Truths and the Eightfold Path could help people overcome suffering and achieve nirvana. Shakyamuni Buddha's life, teachings, and practices demonstrate that enlightenment is possible for all beings. By following his advice and living a life of virtue, compassion, and awareness, individuals can transcend the cycle of suffering and attain spiritual freedom.
