This Buddhist Shrine Longchenpa Statue is a finely handcrafted representation of Longchenpa, one of the most influential masters of the Nyingma tradition of Tibetan Buddhism and a renowned teacher of the Dzogchen teachings. Created by artist Amir Shakya in 2021, the statue features a copper body enhanced with a gold-gilded finish, highlighting the intricate details of the master’s monastic robes, scholar’s hat, facial expression, and lotus pedestal. The refined carving and delicate gilding showcase traditional Himalayan craftsmanship, capturing the peaceful and contemplative presence of this highly respected Buddhist lineage master.
Longchenpa is depicted seated in a meditative posture upon a lotus throne, expressing wisdom, realization, and deep contemplation. He is portrayed wearing the traditional pointed hat of a Tibetan scholar and master, with a serene expression reflecting his role as a great teacher and philosopher. In his hands, he holds sacred attributes associated with Buddhist learning and practice, including the scripture representing the Dharma teachings and a ritual symbol connected with spiritual realization.
