About our statue :
This Buddhist Mythical Bird Garuda Statue, skillfully carved from brass alloy, is 21cm tall and 19cm wide and weighs 1.606kg. Its meticulous craftsmanship depicts the heavenly force and protecting power of Garuda, the celestial king of birds, making it a must-have for Buddhist practitioners, meditation areas, and sacred altars. This Garuda sculpture, known for its capacity to fight bad forces, represents speed, strength, and everlasting devotion to enlightenment, making it a strong guardian deity in Tibetan Vajrayana Buddhism.
In this gorgeous statue, Garuda is portrayed kneeling (one down) on a lotus pedestal with his hands united in Anjali Mudra, which represents reverence, humility, and devotion. His majestic, meticulously sculpted wings represent liberation from ignorance and the power to ascend above worldly misery. A snake band is wrapped around his head, symbolizing his victory against Naga serpents and increasing his natural resistance to toxins, diseases, and negative energies. He also wears snake earrings and bracelets, emphasizing his strength and control over the lower realms. This Garuda brass statue is a powerful emblem of strength, wisdom, and divine intervention, making it an ideal addition to spiritual places and collections.
Introduction to Garuda :
In Buddhism, the garuda is a gigantic bird of prey. It is sometimes known as Suparna, which translates to "good wings, good wings." Like the Nagas, the garudas combine the attributes of animals and sacred beings and are the lowest of the Devas. They have rulers and towns, and some have the magical ability to transform into human shapes when dealing with humans.
