Arya Tara, also known as Green Tara, is one of the most revered deities within Tibetan Buddhism—serving as the swift protector and compassionate savior who responds immediately to the pleas of those in distress. She symbolizes enlightened action and compassionate wisdom, guiding practitioners toward liberation from fear and suffering. According to Buddhist tradition, Tara originated from the tears of Avalokiteshvara (Chenrezig) during his lament for the suffering of all beings. As the female manifestation of compassion, she worked tirelessly until all beings attained enlightenment. Her presence provides healing, courage, and infinite love to all who invoke her.

This thangka depicts Green Tara seated on a blooming lotus throne, her right leg extended, symbolizing her readiness to act on behalf of all beings. Her right hand performs the varada mudra (gesture of generosity), while her left holds a blue lotus (utpala), symbolizing purity and compassionate wisdom. Gold highlights emphasize her divine radiance and elegant attire. Nagar Kanya, the serpent goddess, offers jewels in reverence at the bottom, symbolizing devotion and harmony under Tara’s gaze. At the EvamRatna, the consecration procedure entails a precisely planned set of rituals and ceremonies. As requested for consecration/ blessing, we take the thangka print to respective Monasteries.
