Introduction To Avalokitesvara:
Avalokitesvara, also known as the Bodhisattva of Compassion, is one of Buddhism's most renowned figures, representing the Buddha's limitless mercy and compassion. Avalokitesvara, sometimes described with several arms and heads to represent his ability to reach out to countless needy beings, is revered as the protector of suffering and a guide to enlightenment. His name translates to "The Lord Who Looks Down with Compassion," and he is thought to hear the cries of those in distress. Avalokitesvara takes on numerous forms across civilizations, such as the feminine Guanyin in China, representing compassion's universal and transcendent character.
How do take care of your statues?
Place them at room temperature, avoiding direct sunlight.
Make sure that the area where your statue is placed is completely free of moisture and dust.
Place it at the highest place on your altar after being consecrated by Lama/monks. The best practice is to keep them covered inside a glass cabinet.
Do not use your bare hands or any objects with a rough surface to wipe the face. Directly touching with the bare hand objects can smudge the face, leaving scratches.
