Antique Statue For Vajrasattva Mantra Benefits Practice
The Vajrasattva Mantra Benefits Practice was expertly hand-crafted in our workshop using a traditional Himalayan art technique. The deity is seen holding a bell in his left hand and a vajra in his right hand as he sits on a lotus on top of a moon disc. He had a serene facial expression on his face. We are the present heirs of a Buddhist Himalayan art form that dates back a century and entails the production of sacred sculptures. For months, we worked hard to produce this statue. The body is shaped from copper and gilded with 24K pure gold. The statue has an acrylic paint finish and is adorned with priceless coral and stones. Every intricate minute detail of the deity is hand-carved using a hammer and chisels.

Vajrasatva is typically regarded as the second patriarch in the Shingon Buddhist lineage, the first being Vairocana Buddha. According to Kukai's writings in Record of the Dharma Transmission, Nagarjuna encountered Vajrasatva in an iron tower in southern India, based on Amoghavajra's testimony. As recounted in the Mahavairocana Sutra, Vajrasatva inducted Nagarjuna into the abhiseka ceremony and entrusted him with the esoteric teachings he had gained from Vairocana Buddha. Kukai doesn't go into detail on Vajrasatva or his beginnings.
