In Buddhism, the Shakyamuni Buddha's artwork has great meaning. His right hand is shown reaching for the ground in the earth-touching (Bhumisparsha) mudra, requesting that the Earth bear witness to his enlightenment. The Buddha's awakening beneath the Bodhi tree, when he overcame ignorance and achieved ultimate wisdom, is symbolized by this powerful gesture. The dhyana (meditation) mudra, in which his left hand rests in his lap, represents introspection and inner tranquility. This sculpture's gold-plated copper body, which has been given an antique polish, highlights the fine details of his robes and face, perfectly encapsulating traditional Himalayan workmanship.
The Antique Finished Shakyamuni Buddha Statue, seated on a beautiful lotus pedestal, symbolizes purity, spiritual awakening, and transcendence of earthly sorrow. The lotus, a revered emblem in Buddhism, represents the possibility of enlightenment, emerging from the dirt but unaffected by pollutants. This handcrafted gold-plated copper statue is a timeless piece of Buddhist altar decor that radiates peace and wisdom, making it an excellent choice for spiritual seekers and sacred art collectors.
Introduction to Shakyamuni Buddha :
Siddhartha Gautama was raised as a king by the wishes of his royal father and was born the crown prince of the mighty Shakya Kingdom. When he was about 29, he learned of people's immense suffering. He renounced his palatial lifestyle, lavish clothing, and fortune to discover the source of the anguish and find a cure. After over six years of study, self-denial, and tremendous concentration, he finally achieved his objective. He had attained nirvana (a Buddha). He then asserted that he had visited a deer park outside of Varanasi, India's Sarnath (Benares).
