This treasure boxes are beautifully hand-crafted with Tibetan symbols and designs including Lotus Flowers, Tibetan Snow Lion, Clouds, and Conch Shells. These lovely boxes can be used for jewelry and small accessories or as home decoration. It is believed that the tradition of stashing important things away or hiding them directly comes from Padmasambhava and Yeshe Tsogyal and their principal students. They secretly hid religious texts, ritual objects, relics, et cetera, to be discovered when conditions were ripe for the revelation of their contents.

Introduction To Treasure Box :

In Buddhism, it is said that the rationale for hiding Treasures is said to have been formulated when Padmasambhava discerned the future, a time when Tibetans would need special teachings to get them through certain difficult periods. He, therefore, designed special Buddhist practices and scriptures just for those times and proceeded to set up the circumstances for those special teachings to be revealed at just the right moment. This involved designating some of his own disciples to reveal those teachings in a future lifetime. Padmasambhava then uttered an empowering prophecy about that future revelation and proceeded to hide the teachings in a way that they would not be available until the proper prophesied moment in the future.

Thus, today treasure Box is used for various purposes. One can use the Treasure Box to set up and do the meditation or use it as a decorative purpose for meditation. Sometimes they contain different chambers for specific things.
