Held in the right hand during sadhana practice, the Vajra is the active counterpart to the Bell's wisdom, and its precise form, central sphere flanked by prongs emerging from lotus blossoms on either side, encodes deep cosmological and tantric symbolism regarding the transformation of ordinary mind into the five wisdoms of the Buddha families.
