Sacred Tibetan Tantric Sadhana Artifacts: Advanced Vajrayana Practice Implements

Tantric Sadhana Artifacts occupy a unique and irreplaceable place in the Vajrayana Buddhist tradition, serving as sacred objects to decorate the altar, symbolize abstract principles, and serve as active instruments of transformation in the hands of a qualified practitioner engaged in advanced deity practice. Each object in this collection is prescribed by a specific lineage tradition, described in a specific tantra, and used in a specific ritual context, its form, material, proportion, and iconographic detailing all governed by centuries of unbroken transmission from masters to students across the great Vajrayana lineages of Tibet, Nepal, and the broader Himalayan world.

Our Collection Highlights

Each artifact in our Tantric Sadhana collection is hand-crafted in Nepal by master artisans trained in the precise iconographic and material conventions of Tibetan Vajrayana sacred art. Available in a range of materials, sizes, and levels of elaboration, they are suited for advanced sadhana practice, formal ceremony, altar installation, and serious collecting.

  • Kangling (Thighbone Trumpet): The sacred wind instrument of the Chöd tradition and monastic ceremony, blown to summon dakinis, dispel negative forces, and invoke the fearless recognition of impermanence. Crafted from ethically sourced bone and composite materials with traditional copper, silver, and gold-plated fittings. The Kangling's haunting, penetrating sound cuts through ordinary perception and signals the entry into the sacred space of practice.
  • Kapala (Skull Cup): One of the most powerful and symbolically concentrated objects in all of Vajrayana, a vessel representing the transformation of death, ego, and the five poisons into the nectar of enlightened wisdom. Used in advanced deity practice as an offering bowl and a symbol of complete non-attachment to the conditioned self. Available as individual vessels and complete sets with coordinated stands and lids.
  • Ritual Knives: Sacred bladed instruments including the Kartika crescent chopper, Tibetan sword, ritual knife, knife axe, and Tibetan axe, each embodying the sharp wisdom that cuts through ignorance, ego, and the three poisons. Used in wrathful deity practice, torma preparation, and formal ceremony, each blade is hand-forged and engraved with traditional iconographic precision.
  • Khatvanga (Tantric Staff): The elaborate multi-element staff of Padmasambhava and the Heruka deities, comprising a trident, three heads representing the three kayas, a vajra, and a skull cup. one of the most iconographically complete and spiritually potent objects in all of Vajrayana tradition. A complete embodiment of the tantric path from ordinary confusion to the recognition of the three kayas.
  • Ritual Daggers (Phurba): The three-sided tantric dagger of Vajrakilaya, used to pin down and destroy negative forces, stabilize the ground of practice, and embody the wrathful wisdom of the enlightened mind. One of the most beloved and widely used ritual implements across all schools of Tibetan Buddhism, the Phurba is equally a practice tool and a potent protective object for any altar or sacred space.
  • Ritual Head Crown (Rig Nga): The Five Buddha Crown worn during empowerments and advanced deity practice, embodying the complete mandala of the Five Dhyani Buddhas and the transformation of the five poisons into the five wisdoms. Available in wearable ceremony-grade and altar-display forms in copper, silver, and gold-plated finishes.
  • Snuff Horn: An ethically sourced yak horn instrument rooted in the rich material culture of Tibet, valued today as a sacred cultural artifact and distinctive collectible piece of authentic Himalayan heritage, bridging the sacred and the worldly dimensions of traditional Tibetan life.
  • Bone Rugen (Rus pa'i rgyan): The complete set of bone ornaments: crown, necklace, earrings, bracelets, armlets, and girdle replicating the adornments of wrathful deities such as Chakrasamvara, Vajravarahi, and Hevajra. Worn in Chöd practice and displayed on wrathful deity altars as a direct invocation of enlightened fearlessness and the complete transformation of the body into the deity's form.
