9 Inch Tibetan Bodhisattva Manjushri Thangka | Holding His Sword of Wisdom and the Lotus of Enlightenment
The Tibetan bodhisattva Manjushri thangka represents profound understanding that leads to enlightenment. His golden-orange body symbolizes wisdom—clarity, knowledge, and the eradication of ignorance. The five jewels on his crown signify the five wisdoms of an enlightened being. His hair is styled in a three-tiered topknot, which represents his deep understanding of meditation, imagination, and listening. It is created in the traditional Karma Gadri style on cotton canvas, using natural stone colors. The painting's brightness is enhanced by gold highlights that emphasize Manjushri's energy and wisdom.
Manjushri sits on a blooming lotus seat, symbolizing purity, spiritual awakening, and detachment from worldly illusions. In his right hand, he holds a fiery sword of wisdom, raised to cut through ignorance and negativity. In his left hand, he has the Prajnaparamita Sutra on a blue lotus flower. He is draped in a flowing silk scarf, accentuating his divine and graceful appearance. A radiant halo behind him emphasizes his calm yet powerful presence. The peaceful mountainous landscape in the background, filled with clouds and lush greenery, symbolizes the enlightened realm of wisdom and a tranquil meditative mind. This thangka, when placed in a meditation space, altar, or sacred corner, serves as a potent reminder to nurture compassion, wisdom, and inner peace.
