About Our Product
This Handmade Vajra and Bell Set is a beautifully crafted pair of Tibetan Buddhist ritual tools made from copper and brass. The bell stands 18cm tall with a 9.5cm width, while the vajra measures 12cm in length, with a total combined weight of 0.63kg. Designed for meditation, mantra recitation, and altar ceremonies, this Tibetan vajra and bell set is an essential element in Buddhist spiritual practice, symbolizing the sacred balance of wisdom and compassion.
The bell features finely engraved motifs encircling its body, reflecting traditional Himalayan artistry and sacred symbolism. Its handle is crowned with a multi faced deity form beneath a vajra finial, representing awakened awareness and divine insight. This dorje, crafted with symmetrical prongs converging at a central sphere, signifies unity, clarity, and spiritual strength. Each detail of this copper and brass vajra and bell set expresses devotion, precision, and reverence for Buddhist ritual craftsmanship.
Used together in tantric ceremonies and daily meditation, the vajra represents method and compassionate action, while the bell embodies wisdom and the understanding of emptiness. This Handmade Vajra and Bell Set is ideal for Buddhist altar decor, mindfulness rituals, and sacred offerings, bringing a sense of enlightenment and inner peace to any space.
Introduction to Vajra & Bell:
The vajra, meaning "diamond" or "lightning" in Sanskrit, is an important symbol and ritual instrument in Hinduism and more in the Buddhist tradition Vajrayana ("diamond way"), to which it gave its name.
Tibetan Dorje represents the indestructibility and efficiency that overcome all obstacles. Symbolically, Dorje Vajra destroys ignorance. In Tibetan Buddhist rituals, the vajra is often used with the bell, representing the masculine and the feminine, the ying and the yang, the effective action, and the compassion. The shape of the Tibetan Dorje is symmetrical, the two pyramidal heads representing samsara and Nirvana, which cancel each other out in its center thanks to the ring of Emptiness. Having a Dorje at home would have positive virtues against the various attacks we suffer.
The bell or drills is the feminine aspect of the perfection of wisdom, which directly realizes emptiness.
The Vajra or Dorje represents the male aspect as a method or skillful means, the indestructible nature of the absolute. Together they symbolize the blessing mandala of a practitioner’s main yidam deity.
