About Our Ritual Item
The Brass Sukunda Set is a classic oil lamp used in Newari and Hindu rituals for ages. This sacred light, meticulously created, represents dedication, purity, and spiritual significance. Its exquisite 41cm height and 46cm width make it stand out in temples, home altars, and meditation places. Its delicate craftsmanship and historical significance make it a must-have for people who value Nepalese and Hindu heritage.
This gorgeous Sukunda set has two distinct, wonderfully carved vessels, each with a different god at the top. The deity Ganesh is artistically sculpted on one side, representing the remover of barriers and spiritual protection. Below Ganesh, his faithful mount, the mouse, is exquisitely carved, adding to the deity's majestic presence. On the other hand, Ganesh brother is exquisitely detailed and exudes a peaceful and loving aura. A peacock, representing grace and beauty, is sculpted before the compassionate figure, adding to the religious symbolism.
The handles of both Sukundas are ringed by beautifully carved snake heads that form a halo around the jars, representing protection and holy energy. The Sukundas' bodies are fashioned in a lotus-like petal design, representing purity and spiritual awakening. The attention to detail in these carvings, especially the snakes and creatures associated with each deity, adds symbolism to the set, reinforcing its spiritual value. This Sukunda set is a masterpiece of craftsmanship, combining beauty, spiritual images, and exquisite design.
