About Our Product
This Handcrafted Traditional Buddhist Stupa is a beautifully detailed piece measuring 17cm in height and 9cm in width, weighing 1.16kg. Crafted from copper with gold plating, it brings a sense of sacred elegance to any meditation altar, spiritual space, or home décor setting. The compact size allows it to fit comfortably on an altar or shelf, making it both a meaningful devotional item and a decorative artwork.
This sacred stupa is intricately crafted with a lotus base, symbolizing purity and spiritual awakening. On the main structure, finely engraved figures represent the Five Dhyani Buddhas Vairochana, Akshobhya, Ratnasambhava, Amitabha, and Amoghasiddhi each embodying a specific aspect of enlightenment and protection. Guardian motifs surrounding them further signify spiritual guidance and the teachings of Buddhism. The spire at the top represents the path to higher consciousness, while the decorative details highlight traditional Himalayan craftsmanship, dedication to spiritual symbolism, and the harmonious balance of meditation, wisdom, and compassion.
This sacred stupa is perfect for meditation spaces, Buddhist altars, spiritual rituals, or as a meaningful home decoration. It helps create a peaceful and calm atmosphere while reminding us of the Buddhist path of wisdom, compassion, and mindfulness. Its beautiful design also reflects the rich cultural heritage of the Himalayas.
Introduction of Stupa
Prior to Buddhism, great teachers were interred in mounds. While some were cremated, others were buried in a seated, meditative posture, covered by an earth mound. Consequently, the domed shape of the stupa evolved to symbolize a person seated in meditation, much like the Buddha when he attained Enlightenment and understood the Four Noble Truths. The stupa's base represents his crossed legs in a meditative pose, the middle section signifies the Buddha’s body, and the top of the mound, featuring a pole rising from its apex encircled by a small fence, represents his head. Before human images of the Buddha were created, reliefs often depicted practitioners demonstrating devotion to a stupa.
