About Our Product

This handcrafted Shakyamuni Buddha sculpture for peace captures the serene essence of enlightenment, making it an ideal addition to any spiritual space. Expertly crafted from a copper body, the statue features 24K gold plating and acrylic color detailing. Standing at 13.5 cm, it symbolizes the Buddha's tranquil presence, fostering inner peace and mindfulness.

Shakyamuni Buddha, the Historical Buddha and founder of Buddhism, is traditionally depicted seated in the vajra posture upon a lotus throne, representing perfect stability and enlightenment. His right hand reaches downward in the Bhumisparsha Mudra (Earth-Touching Gesture), commemorating the moment he called the earth to witness his enlightenment beneath the Bodhi tree. His left hand rests peacefully in his lap in the Dhyana Mudra, gently holding an alms bowl, symbolizing renunciation, meditation, and spiritual contentment. He is clothed in simple monastic robes that gracefully drape across his body, reflecting humility and discipline. His elongated earlobes, serene facial expression, and prominent ushnisha atop his head signify his awakened wisdom and spiritual attainment. The radiant 24K gold gilding, vibrant acrylic painting, and carefully inlaid gemstones illuminate every intricate detail, enhancing the statue's authentic iconography and timeless Himalayan elegance.

Introduction of Shakyamuni Buddha

Siddhartha Gautama, born as the crown prince of the mighty Shakya Kingdom, was raised as a king according to his royal father's wishes. Around age 29, he discovered the immense suffering of people. He then renounced his palatial lifestyle, lavish clothing, and fortune to seek the source of this anguish and find a cure. After more than six years of dedicated study, self-denial, and intense concentration, he finally achieved his goal: nirvana, becoming a Buddha. He later taught that he visited a deer park outside Varanasi, India, in Sarnath (Benares).
