About Our Product

This Handcrafted Ritual Phurba represents protection, purification, obstacle removal, and the sacred power of Vajrayana Buddhist practice. Made with copper filigree, crystal, gold plating, and natural stone accents, this ritual dagger features a crystal blade, deity head, skull detail, and makara motif with finely decorated ceremonial elements. Measuring 48 cm in height and weighing 1.63 kg, it is suitable for Buddhist altars, shrine rooms, meditation spaces, ritual displays, and sacred collections inspired by Tibetan Buddhist tradition.

The design includes detailed copper filigree work, gold plated ornamentation, natural stone inlay, a skull motif, a fierce deity head, and makara imagery that gives the piece a strong symbolic and protective presence. In Vajrayana iconography, the phurba, also known as a kila or ritual dagger, symbolizes the cutting of ignorance, fear, negative energy, and inner obstacles. The skull represents impermanence and transformation, while the deity head reflects enlightened force used to overcome harmful influences and spiritual confusion. The makara, a mythical protective creature often seen in Himalayan sacred art, symbolizes guardianship, and the dynamic protection of the Dharma.

Placing this ritual phurba on an altar supports protection practice, mantra recitation, meditation, purification rituals, and symbolic offerings connected with Vajrayana tradition. It serves as a meaningful sacred display piece for practitioners, collectors, and anyone seeking a Buddhist ritual tool that represents wisdom, courage, transformation, peace, and protective blessings.

Introduction To The Phurba :

The ceremonial dagger (Sanskrit: Kila; Tibetan: phurba) is essential for expelling evil and is considered particularly effective in neutralizing the forces obstructing Tantric Buddhist practice. It has ancient origins, first appearing in the Indian Rig Veda as the core blade of the vajra used by Indra to destroy the primordial cosmic snake Vritra. Kila, derived from Sanskrit, was most likely associated with Vedic sacrifices. Meditation on the Vajrakila Tantra, an early Indian scripture first promoted in Tibet in the eighth century by Padmasambhava, one of the founding teachers of Tibetan Buddhism, is used to invoke the three-headed Vajrakila Buddha.
