About our Statue:
The Amitayus seated in the throne Statue, made from lapis lazuli, stands 15 cm in height and 11 cm in width, weighing 0.478 kg. The statue beautifully captures Amitayus, the Buddha of Long Life, on an intricately designed throne, seated in a meditative position. The body of the Buddha is crafted entirely from lapis lazuli, a stone symbolizing purity and wisdom, which creates a rich, deep blue tone that adds to the serenity and sacredness of the statue. The throne is beautifully carved with silver filigree work, giving it an elegant and refined appearance. At the front of the base, a kirtimukha (the face of a mythical being) is carved, and it is accentuated with artificial turquoise stones, bringing out its beauty and adding a sense of divine protection.
Amitayus is depicted holding a long-life vase, symbolizing longevity, health, and the ability to preserve life. His serene expression and calm posture convey the essence of peace and eternal life. He is adorned with a five-jewel crown, a sign of his enlightened status, and his long earlobes symbolize wisdom and the ability to listen deeply. His robes are made from silver filigree, a traditional technique that gives texture and intricacy to his attire. These robes are enhanced with perfectly placed gemstones, including turquoise and coral, which shine brilliantly, adding to the statue’s radiance and highlighting the finer details of his clothing and accessories.
The face of Amitayus is carved with great care, and the jewelry, including the intricate necklace and earrings, is adorned with turquoise and coral stones, making this piece a work of art. The long ears are another distinguishing feature, indicative of his wisdom and the ability to hear the cries of sentient beings. The overall craftsmanship of this statue reflects a perfect balance between artistry and spirituality. The carefully placed gemstones, coupled with the detailed carvings on the throne, make this Amitayus statue a symbol of longevity and a stunning and sacred representation of Tibetan Buddhist craftsmanship.

How do you take care of your statues?
• Place them at room temperature, avoiding direct sunlight.
• Make sure that the area where your statue is placed is entirely free of moisture and dust.
• Place it at the highest place on your altar after being consecrated by Lama/monks. The best practice is to keep them covered inside a glass cabinet.
• Do not use your bare hands or any objects with a rough surface to wipe the face. Directly touching with the bare hand objects can smudge the face, leaving scratches.
