About Our Product
This Sacred Buddhist Flame Butter Lamp is crafted from copper with brass accents, creating a traditional Tibetan offering lamp suitable for meditation, prayer, and ceremonial use. Each lamp features a tiered base, a wide bowl, and engraved floral patterns that highlight skilled craftsmanship. The polished metallic surface reflects light beautifully, adding both elegance and sacred energy to any Buddhist altar or spiritual space.
Butter lamps symbolize the offering of light, representing the removal of ignorance and the cultivation of wisdom in Buddhist practice. The wide bowl allows for holding ghee or oil, while the sturdy tiered base ensures stability during use. The copper and brass combination adds warmth and enhances the visual presence of the lamp, making it both functional and ceremonially significant.
This set may be placed individually or together on an altar, used during puja, mantra recitation, or daily meditation practice. Lighting the butter lamps supports focus, spiritual merit, and devotion, while creating a serene and auspicious atmosphere. Its handcrafted design and symbolic importance make it a meaningful addition to any Tibetan Buddhist shrine or personal spiritual collection.
Introduction To The Butter Lamp :
The whole process of offering a butter lamp is also a very spiritual practice. The traditional practice of preparing a butter lamp starts by washing one’s hand, wearing a mask to protect from contaminating the butter lamp through one’s breath, making the wick out of pure cotton, and cleaning the chalices with a clean piece of cloth reserved for this or fresh mosses from the trees, which was commonly used in old times. The whole process is a meditative spiritual practice, which engages a person both physically and mentally, if the person knows and practices it according to the norms.
