Introduction To 4 Armed Chenrezig :
Four-Armed Chenrezig is a bodhisattva who embodies the compassion of all Buddhas. This bodhisattva is variably depicted and described and is portrayed in different cultures as either female or male. But in Tibetan tradition, he generally comes in this four-armed form.
The practice of Avalokiteshvara is encouraged to develop a calm and compassionate heart. Compassion is the root foundation for excelling in the Buddhist path. This thangka is used to do visual meditation practice to develop a calm, kind, and compassionate heart.
