About Our Product

This Traditional Ritual Phurba Dagger represents protection, spiritual transformation, and the power to overcome obstacles in Vajrayana practice. Crafted from copper with gold plating and inlaid with turquoise and coral gemstones, it measures 51.5 cm in height, 15 cm in length, and 14 cm in width, weighing 1.24 kg. Perfect for Buddhist altars, meditation spaces, temples, or sacred art collections, this ceremonial dagger combines ritual significance with exquisite Himalayan craftsmanship.

The phurba features intricately carved protective deities, including wrathful faces at the top, and a Makara motif near the blade, symbolizing the harnessing of energy and safeguarding against negativity. The turquoise and coral gemstones enhance its auspicious and protective qualities, while the detailed blade, base, and ornamentation showcase traditional metalwork mastery. Each element embodies spiritual symbolism, representing stability, purification, and the channeling of divine energy.

Placing this ritual phurba on your altar or sacred space encourages spiritual focus, protection, and purification. It serves as a sacred tool for blessings, meditation, ceremonial offerings, and the subjugation of negative forces. This dagger also makes a thoughtful gift for practitioners, collectors, or anyone seeking a meaningful symbol of transformation, protection, and spiritual authority.

Introduction of Phurba

The ceremonial dagger (Sanskrit: Kila; Tibetan: phurba) is essential for expelling evil and is considered particularly effective in neutralizing the forces obstructing Tantric Buddhist practice. It has ancient origins, first appearing in the Indian Rig Veda as the core blade of the vajra used by Indra to destroy the primordial cosmic snake Vritra. Kila, derived from Sanskrit, was most likely associated with Vedic sacrifices. Meditation on the Vajrakila Tantra, an early Indian scripture first promoted in Tibet in the eighth century by Padmasambhava, one of the founding teachers of Tibetan Buddhism, is used to invoke the three-headed Vajrakila Buddha.
