Introduction of Shakyamuni Buddha

Siddhartha Gautama, born as the crown prince of the powerful Shakya Kingdom, was raised as a king according to his royal father's wishes. Around age 29, he became aware of humanity's immense suffering. He then renounced his lavish lifestyle, clothing, and fortune to seek the source of this anguish and find a remedy. After more than six years of dedicated study, self-denial, and profound concentration, he finally achieved his goal, attaining nirvana and becoming a Buddha. Following this, he declared his visit to a deer park outside Sarnath (Benares), near Varanasi, India.
