About Our Product
This Traditional Himalayan Shakyamuni Buddha Figure represents Shakyamuni Buddha, the historical Buddha and founder of Buddhism, who embodies wisdom, compassion, and the path toward enlightenment. Crafted with an oxidized copper body and acrylic color details, this handcrafted statue measures 32cm in height, 22.5cm in length, and 15cm in width, with a weight of 3.97kg. The serene expression, detailed robe patterns, and traditional Himalayan artistry make this statue a meaningful addition to Buddhist altars, meditation spaces, and spiritual collections.
The statue depicts Shakyamuni Buddha seated in a calm meditative posture upon a lotus throne, symbolizing purity, awakening, and spiritual realization. His right hand rests in the earth-touching gesture (Bhumisparsha Mudra), representing the moment of his enlightenment when he called the earth to witness his awakening. His left hand rests in his lap holding an alms bowl, symbolizing meditation, and the teachings of the Buddha. The peaceful facial expression, closed eyes, curled hair, elongated earlobes, and finely carved robes reflect important elements of Buddhist iconography. The oxidized copper finish enhances the depth of the carvings, highlighting the intricate patterns of the robe, lotus base, and sacred details.
This Shakyamuni Buddha statue can be placed on a Buddhist altar, meditation room, shrine, or sacred display area. As a representation of the Enlightened One, Shakyamuni Buddha symbolizes wisdom, compassion, mindfulness, and liberation from suffering. His presence serves as a reminder to cultivate awareness, kindness, and inner peace while following the path of Dharma.
Introduction to Shakyamuni Buddha :
Siddhartha Gautama was raised as a king following the wishes of his royal father and was born the crown prince of the mighty Shakya Kingdom. At about 29, he learned of the immense suffering of others. He renounced his palatial lifestyle, lavish clothing, and fortune to discover the source of the anguish and find a cure. After over six years of study, self-denial, and tremendous concentration, he finally achieved his objective. He had attained nirvana (a Buddha). He then asserted that he had visited a deer park outside Varanasi, India's Sarnath (Benares).
