About Our Product

This Handcrafted Milarepa Statue measures 18.5cm in height and 15.5cm in width, weighing 1.87 kg. Crafted from a copper body with detailed silver plating, this Tibetan Buddhist sculpture is designed to enrich home altars, meditation rooms, and spiritual décor spaces. The expressive detailing reflects traditional Himalayan craftsmanship and devotional artistry.

Milarepa, one of Tibet’s most revered yogis and spiritual masters, is depicted seated in a relaxed posture upon a decorated base. His right hand is raised to his ear in the traditional listening gesture, symbolizing his spontaneous songs of realization and enlightened teachings. The lean ascetic form, monastic robe draped across one shoulder, and serene yet intense facial expression highlight his life of meditation in mountain caves. The deer skin beneath him references his yogic practice and renunciation, while the carved base displays intricate Himalayan design motifs that enhance the sacred presence of the sculpture.

Ideal for Buddhist altar décor, meditation spaces, shrine displays, and sacred home interiors, this Handcrafted Milarepa Statue represents spiritual discipline, enlightenment, and devotion. This silver plated Milarepa sculpture is perfect for collectors seeking Tibetan Buddhist statues, Himalayan religious art, Milarepa altar décor, meditation master statues, and authentic spiritual home décor rooted in traditional Himalayan craftsmanship and sacred symbolism.

Introduction of Milarepa

Milarepa is widely regarded as Tibet’s most beloved and highly accomplished Buddhist master. Both scholars and laypeople still sing his songs today. Early in his life, Milarepa committed numerous evil deeds, including sending hailstorms and practicing black magic to harm people. He eventually regretted these actions and sought guidance from the great Indian master Marpa, who accepted him as his student after rigorous testing. Marpa gave Milarepa the name Milarepa, which translates to "Crazy Miller," a nickname given to him due to his eccentric appearance and behavior during his early days as a disciple. Milarepa persevered through immense hardships and meditation, ultimately achieving the realization of Vajradharahood, as foretold by Marpa. He became one of Tibet’s most celebrated yogis and poets, with a significant legacy in the Drukpa Kagyu school of Tibetan Buddhism.
