The Golden Future Buddha Maitreya is depicted seated gracefully on a moon disc lotus base, symbolizing purity and spiritual awakening. He wears a five-pointed crown, representing the Five Dhyani Buddhas, which signifies his profound wisdom and enlightened nature. His hands are held in the Dharmachakra Mudra, the gesture of turning the Wheel of Dharma, reflecting his role as a future teacher who will renew the Buddha’s teachings. Flanking his shoulders are two blooming utpala (blue lotuses), each bearing sacred symbols: on the right, the utpala supports a Dharmachakra wheel, denoting the continuous turning of spiritual teachings; on the left, another utpala holds a kalasha (sacred vase), symbolizing long life, abundance, and spiritual purity. Introduction to Maitreya Buddha

Maitreya Buddha is a bodhisattva, or enlightened being, regarded as the future Buddha in many Mahayana Buddhist traditions. According to Buddhist belief, Maitreya will appear on earth to end suffering and spread Buddhist teachings. Maitreya is often depicted sitting on a lotus base with a serene expression, symbolizing his compassion and wisdom. He is also sometimes shown holding a vase, symbolizing his role as a teacher and dispenser of Buddhist teachings. Maitreya is considered a beloved and revered figure in the Buddhist tradition, inspiring devotion and respect among practitioners.

How do you take care of your statues?
• Place them at room temperature, avoiding direct sunlight.
• Make sure that the area where your statue is placed is entirely free of moisture and dust.
• Place it at the highest place on your altar after being consecrated by a Lama/monks. The best practice is to keep them covered inside a glass cabinet.
• Do not use your bare hands or any objects with a rough surface to wipe the face. Directly touching objects with the bare hand can smudge the face, leaving scratches.
