About Our Statue
This Golden Future Buddha Maitreya, also known as the Buddha of Loving-Kindness and the coming enlightened one, stands at 9.4”/24cm in height and 5.5”/14cm at the base, weighing 1.32 kg. Made from 24K Gold Gilded, Gold & Acrylic Paintings, Copper Body, and adorned with Gemstones, this piece reflects traditional craftsmanship. Designed by talented Nepalese artisans, this piece is ideal for altars, meditation areas, or as a meaningful decorative item for individuals seeking to cultivate awareness in their daily life.
The Golden Future Buddha Maitreya is depicted seated gracefully on a moon disc lotus base, symbolizing purity and spiritual awakening. He wears a five-pointed crown, representing the Five Dhyani Buddhas, which signifies his profound wisdom and enlightened nature. His hands are held in the Dharmachakra Mudra, the gesture of turning the Wheel of Dharma, reflecting his role as a future teacher who will renew the Buddha’s teachings. Flanking his shoulders are two blooming utpala (blue lotuses), each bearing sacred symbols: on the right, the utpala supports a Dharmachakra wheel, denoting the continuous turning of spiritual teachings; on the left, another utpala holds a kalasha (sacred vase), symbolizing long life, abundance, and spiritual purity. He is adorned in elegant monastic robes and an artistically flowing scarf that swirls with dynamic grace, showcasing the meticulous craftsmanship of the artisans who brought this sacred form to life.
Maitreya, sometimes referred to as the "Future Buddha," is thought to be a Bodhisattva who is presently a resident in Tusita Heaven. He will come down to Earth, reach full enlightenment, and impart the pure Dharma. The expectation of Maitreya symbolizes a shared optimism for a world full of compassion, wisdom, and harmony in the future. It highlights the continuation and enduring relevance of the Buddha's teachings and encourages the present generation to practice the virtues required to establish such a world. This promise is realized in the Radiant Maitreya Buddha Sculpture, a source of inspiration for living kindly and foresightedly in the present and a beacon of light for the future.

How do you take care of your statues?
• Place them at room temperature, avoiding direct sunlight.
• Make sure that the area where your statue is placed is entirely free of moisture and dust.
• Place it at the highest place on your altar after being consecrated by a Lama/monks. The best practice is to keep them covered inside a glass cabinet.
• Do not use your bare hands or any objects with a rough surface to wipe the face. Directly touching objects with the bare hand can smudge the face, leaving scratches.
