About Our Statue :
This sculpture depicts Guru Rinpoche (Padmasambhava), a highly revered figure in Tibetan Buddhism. Handcrafted from copper, this statue is intricately silver and gold plated to highlight Guru Rinpoche's divine presence. Standing 51 cm tall and 39 cm wide, the statue depicts his serene yet powerful expression while sitting in a meditative posture. Guru Rinpoche is shown holding a vajra (thunderbolt) in his right hand and resting his left in a symbolic position. His presence is enhanced by the ornate, gilded halo that surrounds his head, symbolizing his enlightened state.
This statue symbolizes protection and a beacon of wisdom, representing Guru Rinpoche's role in spreading Vajrayana Buddhist teachings throughout Tibet. The silver and gold finish not only emphasizes the fine craftsmanship, but also adds a sense of spiritual sanctity to any room. As a divine teacher, Guru Rinpoche is well-known for his powerful meditation techniques and blessings, which are thought to protect practitioners from obstacles. The statue's weight and intricate detailing make it an excellent centerpiece for Buddhist altars or as a collector's item for those seeking a deeper connection to Tibetan Buddhist practices.
Introduction To Guru Rinpoche :
Guru Rinpoche was an instrumental figure in Tibetan Buddhism. In Tibetan Buddhism, Padmasambhava's teachings are said to have an oral lineage (kama) as well as a lineage of the hidden treasure texts (termas). He is said to appear in visionary encounters with tertöns, and his form is visualized during guru yoga practice, particularly in the Nyingma school. Buddhists revere him in Tibet, Nepal, Bhutan, India's Himalayan states, and other countries worldwide.
How do you take care of your statues?
• Place them at room temperature, avoiding direct sunlight.
• Make sure that the area where your statue is placed is entirely free of moisture and dust.
• Place it at the highest place on your altar after being consecrated by Lama/monks. The best practice is to keep them covered inside a glass cabinet.
• Do not use your bare hands or any objects with a rough surface to wipe the face. Directly touching with the bare hand objects can smudge the face, leaving scratches.
