This oxidized copper handmade Vairocana sculpture captures the cosmic essence of the primordial Buddha, embodying universal truth and transcendental wisdom. This statue is made up of an oxidized copper body. Seated in padmasana (lotus posture), Vairocana emanates calm and boundless awareness, radiating the light of dharma to all realms. His serene expression and meditative stance invite a sense of inner stillness and clarity, making this statue a powerful addition to any spiritual altar or meditation space.

Vairocana, the central Buddha among the Five Dhyani Buddhas, is depicted seated in padmasana (lotus posture) upon a lotus base, radiating serene composure and enlightened awareness. His main hands are held in the Dharmachakra mudra (gesture of turning the Wheel of Dharma), symbolizing the continuous teaching of universal truth. Adorning his head is the ushnisha, representing his supreme wisdom and spiritual realization.

Vairocana is regarded as the Primordial Buddha in Mahayana and Vajrayana Buddhism, representing the universal, formless essence of enlightenment. He embodies the Dharmakaya, the truth body, which transcends individual identity and permeates all existence. As the central figure among the Five Dhyani Buddhas, Vairocana symbolizes the pure, undivided nature of mind and the profound wisdom that perceives things as they truly are, free from duality or illusion. Associated with the wisdom of the Dharmadhatu, he reflects the understanding of śūnyatā (emptiness), where all phenomena are seen as interdependent and devoid of inherent self. Vairocana is often viewed as the source from which all Buddhas arise, embodying the all-encompassing clarity and awakened awareness that underlie the entire universe.

How do you take care of your statues?

• Place them at room temperature, avoiding direct sunlight.
• Make sure that the area where your statue is placed is entirely free of moisture and dust.
• Place it at the highest place on your altar after being consecrated by a Lama/monks. The best practice is to keep them covered inside a glass cabinet.
• Do not use your bare hands or any objects with a rough surface to wipe the face. Directly touching objects with the bare hand can smudge the face, leaving scratches.
