About Our Statue:

This handcrafted Chenrezig statue of compassion is a representation of one of Tibetan Buddhism's most revered bodhisattvas. Standing at 20 cm tall and 14 cm wide, this beautifully carved crystal statue depicts Chenrezig, also known as Avalokiteshvara, the embodiment of compassion and loving-kindness. Weighing 1.76 kg, it has a substantial presence, making it an ideal centerpiece for your home altar or meditation space.

In this statue, Chenrezig is depicted seated in padmāsana (lotus posture) upon a lotus base. His main hands are joined in anjali mudrā, holding the cintāmaṇi (wish-fulfilling jewel) as a symbol of boundless compassion. The upper right hand holds a rosary (mala), representing his ceaseless vow to liberate beings, while the upper left hand carries a utpala (blue lotus), a sign of purity and wisdom that rises unstained from samsāra.

Introduction of Chenrezig

Chenrezig embodies the bodhisattva's commitment to delay Buddhahood until every sentient being on Earth achieves liberation from pain and the cycle of death and rebirth. His name translates to 'the lord who observes in all directions.' Practicing Chenrezig encourages the development of a calm and compassionate heart, which is fundamental to the Buddhist path. He listens to the prayers of all sentient beings during times of challenge and difficulty.

How Do You Take Care of Your Statues?
  • Place them at room temperature, avoiding direct sunlight.
  • Make sure that the area where your statue is placed is entirely free of moisture and dust.
  • Place it at the highest place on your altar after being consecrated by the Lama/monks. The best practice is to keep them covered inside a glass cabinet.
  • Do not use your bare hands or any objects with a rough surface to wipe the face.
  • Directly touching objects with the bare hand can smudge the face, leaving scratches.
Consecration Service Available

Each statue contains a sacred chamber for mantra and relic fillings to bestow spiritual empowerment. During consecration, these sacred items are placed inside and blessed through traditional rituals performed by the ordained monks. There is a fee for this service, offered as a respectful contribution to the monastery.

Please note: Once consecrated, the statue becomes a sacred object and cannot be returned or refunded.
