About Our Statue :
This Chenrezig Statue, also known as Avalokiteshvara, is a stunning depiction of the Bodhisattva of Compassion. Standing 33 cm tall and 23 cm wide, it is crafted from oxidized copper and beautifully gold-plated for a rich, elegant appearance. Chenrezig is a revered figure in Tibetan Buddhism, symbolizing unconditional love, compassion, and the commitment to liberate all beings from suffering. The statue's gold-plated surface and oxidized copper structure emphasize its spiritual significance, making it a perfect addition to any meditation room or shrine.
The deity sits on a moon-disc lotus seat. A crystal rosary in the upper right hand symbolizes the never-ending cycle of life, death, and regeneration. The lotus in the upper left hand represents the deity's role in assisting mankind to overcome adversity and unpleasant conditions, including hellish realms. The lower hands are gently put in a namaste motion, grasping a wish-fulfilling Jewel. The deity's gentle and calm expression symbolizes compassion and calmness.
Introduction To Chenresig :
Avalokiteshvara also known as 1000 armed Chenrezig in Tibet is the Bodhisattva of compassion. He is one of the most popular Bodhisattvas in the Tibetan community. He is celebrated and placed in the heart of every Himalayan community.
The practice of Avalokiteshvara encourages to develop of a calm and compassionate heart. Compassion is the root foundation for excelling in the Buddhist path. Kind, Calm, and Open Mind is only possible if we are compassionate. Avalokiteshvara is used to do visual meditation practice to develop a calm, kind, and compassionate heart.
How do take care of your statues?
• Place them at room temperature, avoiding direct sunlight.
• Make sure that the area where your statue is placed is completely free of moisture and dust.
• Place it at the highest place on your altar after being consecrated by Lama/monks. The best practice is to keep them covered inside a glass cabinet.
• Do not use your bare hands or any objects with a rough surface to wipe the face. Directly touching with the bare hand objects can smudge the face, leaving scratches.
