Lotus Vajra Guru Rinpoche | Second Buddha of Tibet | With Amitabha Buddha

Our beautiful lotus Vajra Guru Rinpoche is a hand-painted thangka on high-quality cotton canvas. It uses authentic natural Lhasa stone pigments and 24K gold, sourced from the Tibetan plateau, known for their vibrant, lasting colors and spiritual significance. Skilled artisans carefully grind and blend these special pigments to create lively hues that truly bring the sacred image to life with depth and brightness. The 24K gold details are carefully applied to emphasize divine features and sacred symbols, showcasing the timeless elegance of Karma Gadri's painting techniques, celebrated for their graceful designs and gentle landscapes.

Guru Rinpoche, also called Padmasambhava, is the esteemed founder of Tibetan Buddhism. In this thangka, he is seated on a lotus throne, symbolizing his birth and divine connection. His serene yet powerful presence is detailed, with multi-colored robes that show mastery over the elements. He holds a vajra, symbolizing unbreakable wisdom, and a lotus for purity and awakening. Sitting above him is Amitabha Buddha, the Buddha of Infinite Light and Compassion, symbolizing the unbreakable union of wisdom and compassion. Together, they embody the ultimate aim of spiritual practice: awakening through enlightened guidance and limitless love. This thangka functions both as a devotional object and a meditation aid, highlighting the deep connection between the master and the Buddha. Their portrayal uplifts practitioners to develop healing, protection, and enlightenment, making it a meaningful artwork within the Tibetan Buddhist tradition.
