Chakrasamvara, recognized as the “Wheel of Supreme Bliss,” is a venerated Yidam within Vajrayana Buddhism, representing the synthesis of wisdom and compassion. His practice serves as a transformative endeavor, guiding practitioners toward inner awakening and liberation from attachments. His form exemplifies mastery over negative emotions, transforming them into enlightened awareness.
This thangka depicts Chakrasamvara in Yab-Yum with Vajravarahi, illustrating the unity of method and wisdom. His blue form represents compassion and boundless infinity. He holds a vajra and a bell, symbols of skillful means and wisdom. Vajravarahi is depicted with a curved knife and a skull cup, symbolizing the cutting of ignorance and the transformation of suffering. Adorned with a five-skull crown and encircled by flames, he stands on a lotus and sun disc, symbolizing victory over illusion and awakening. The use of golden highlights and intricate lines reflects deep spiritual meaning and artistic craftsmanship. Invite this thangka into your space to foster balance, clarity, and enlightenment.
