About Our Statue :
The Shyama Tara Sculpture is an exquisitely constructed and spiritually potent portrayal of Shyama Tara, Tibetan Buddhism's goddess of protection, compassion, and healing. This magnificent sculpture is 33.5 cm tall, has a base width of 25 cm, and weighs 3.38 kg. It is made of oxidized copper, 24k gold plating, and electro gold plating, which accentuate the figure's divine shine. The acrylic color highlights add depth to the figure's tranquil countenance and beautiful robes, making it a great focal point for altars, meditation rooms, or sacred places.
The Shyama Tara Sculpture features the goddess seated gracefully in a meditative posture, with one hand raised in a gesture of peace and the other in a symbolic offering position. Tara is depicted with two flowers, one in each hand, which represent her compassion and her role as a protector of all sentient beings. The 24k gold plating on her crown, jewelry, and flower stems emphasizes Tara’s divine beauty and spiritual power, while the oxidized copper body adds a grounding, earthly quality, representing her ability to intervene in the material world for the benefit of others. The acrylic colors used for her face and body details bring life to the statue, making it both visually striking and spiritually profound.
This Shyama Tara Sculpture is not only a work of art but a powerful tool for spiritual practice. As a goddess of protection and healing, she is often called upon in Tibetan Buddhist rituals for her ability to remove obstacles and provide safety. Whether used for meditation, placed on an altar, or displayed in your sacred space, this sculpture embodies Tara’s qualities of compassion, wisdom, and protection, enhancing the energy of any environment. Its combination of gold, copper, and acrylic makes it a truly remarkable and meaningful addition to any collection or spiritual practice.
Introduction to Green Tara:
Green Tara, also known as Shyamatara, holds a special place in Tibetan Buddhism as the embodiment of active compassion and swift assistance. Legend has it that she sprang from a tear of Avalokiteshvara, the Bodhisattva of Compassion, earning her the title "Mother of Liberation." Known for her ability to clear obstacles, shield from danger, and bring healing, Green Tara is the go-to guardian for those facing hardship, anxiety, or trouble, always ready to offer swift and loving support when it’s needed most.
How Do You Take Care of Your Statues?
- Place them at room temperature, avoiding direct sunlight.
- Make sure that the area where your statue is placed is entirely free of moisture and dust.
- Place it at the highest place on your altar after being consecrated by the Lama/monks. The best practice is to keep them covered inside a glass cabinet.
- Do not use your bare hands or any objects with a rough surface to wipe the face.
- Directly touching objects with the bare hand can smudge the face, leaving scratches.
Consecration Service Available
Each statue contains a sacred chamber for mantra and relic fillings to bestow spiritual empowerment. During consecration, these sacred items are placed inside and blessed through traditional rituals performed by the ordained monks. There is a fee for this service, offered as a respectful contribution to the monastery.
Please note: Once consecrated, the statue becomes a sacred object and cannot be returned or refunded.
