Standing 11.5cm tall and 10cm wide, this finely constructed statue is made of copper and gold-plated, producing a striking image of strength and spiritual significance. Mahakala Bernakchen is recognized for his wrathful and violent appearance, which represents the removal of obstructions and the elimination of negative energy. As a Dharma guardian, he guards practitioners from negative influences and guides them to spiritual accomplishment.
Crafted with intricate detail, this Mahakala Bernakchen statue features the deity's intense expression, highlighting his protective and transformative power. The gold-plated accents accentuate his fearsome presence, while the copper body gives the statue an earthy yet powerful feel. Introduction To Sakya Mahakala :
Mahakala is the guardian deity of the Mahayana and Tibetan Buddhist schools. He expresses himself in various ways, each with its own set of attributes and characteristics. He is sometimes seen as the emanation of specific entities, such as Avalokitesvara or Chakrasamvara. The five kleshas (adverse conditions) are transformed into the five pearls of knowledge, and Mahakala is typically depicted with a crown of five skulls.
How do you take care of your statues?
• Place them at room temperature, avoiding direct sunlight.
• Make sure that the area where your statue is placed is entirely free of moisture and dust.
• Place it at the highest place on your altar after being consecrated by Lama/monks. The best practice is to keep them covered inside a
glass cabinet.
• Do not use your bare hands or any objects with a rough surface to wipe the face. Directly touching the face with the bare hand can
smudge the face, leaving scratches.
