About our Statue

This Chenrezig Buddha Statue is a magnificent piece of spiritual art that embodies compassion and wisdom. Standing at an impressive 52 cm in height and 40 cm in width, weighing 9.89 kg, this statue is crafted with exceptional detail. Made from copper, the statue is adorned with 24K gold gilding, giving it a glow. Vibrant acrylic colors accentuate the fine craftsmanship, while the gemstone embellishments add an extra layer of beauty and spiritual significance. This statue captures the essence of Chenrezig, the Bodhisattva of Compassion, making it a powerful and inspiring piece for any sacred space or collection.

The deity sits on a moon-disc lotus seat. A crystal rosary in the upper right-hand symbolizes the never-ending cycle of life, death, and regeneration. The lotus in the upper left-hand corner represents the deity's role in assisting mankind in overcoming adversity and unpleasant conditions, including hellish realms. The lower hands are gently brought into a namaste position, grasping a wish-fulfilling Jewel. The deity's gentle, calm expression symbolizes compassion and serenity.

Chenrezig, also known as Avalokiteshvara in Sanskrit and Guanyin in Chinese, is the Bodhisattva of Compassion in Mahayana Buddhism. He embodies the infinite compassion (karuṇā) of all Buddhas and is revered as a protector who responds to the suffering of all sentient beings.

Introduction to Chenresig:

Chenresig epitomizes the bodhisattva's determination to delay attaining Buddhahood until he has assisted every sentient being on Earth in achieving freedom from pain and the cycle of death and rebirth. His name has been translated as "the lord who observes in all directions." The practice of Chenresigs encourages the development of a calm and compassionate heart. Compassion is the root foundation for excelling in the Buddhist path. He listens to the prayers of all sentient beings in times of challenge and difficulty.

How Do You Take Care of Your Statues?
  • Place them at room temperature, avoiding direct sunlight.
  • Make sure that the area where your statue is placed is entirely free of moisture and dust.
  • Place it at the highest place on your altar after being consecrated by the Lama/monks. The best practice is to keep them covered inside a glass cabinet.
  • Do not use your bare hands or any objects with a rough surface to wipe the face.
  • Directly touching objects with the bare hand can smudge the face, leaving scratches.
Consecration Service Available

Each statue contains a sacred chamber for mantra and relic fillings to bestow spiritual empowerment. During consecration, these sacred items are placed inside and blessed through traditional rituals performed by the ordained monks. There is a fee for this service, offered as a respectful contribution to the monastery.

Please note: Once consecrated, the statue becomes a sacred object and cannot be returned or refunded.
