About Our Product

This Sacred Kadampa Stupa represents devotion, protection, and the enlightened presence of the Buddha. Crafted from durable oxidized copper, the stupa features traditional tiered architecture with a rounded dome, detailed base, and stylized finial. Standing at 12.5 cm tall, this small stupa is perfect for personal altars, meditation corners, shrine spaces, or sacred collections, offering a visual focal point for contemplation and ritual practice.

The Kadampa Stupa is an iconic symbol in Tibetan Buddhism, representing the Buddha’s mind, teachings, and the path to liberation. Its stacked tiers, circular dome, and ornate top are rich in symbolic meaning, reflecting the five elements, spiritual stages, and the union of wisdom and method. This stupa serves as a reminder to cultivate mindfulness, spiritual discipline, and reverence in daily practice.

Placing this Kadampa Stupa on your altar encourages meditation, prayer offerings, and inner reflection. It serves as a sacred object for devotional rituals, blessing ceremonies, or personal spiritual practice. This stupa also makes a thoughtful gift for practitioners, collectors, or anyone seeking a meaningful representation of Buddhist wisdom and protection.

Introduction of Stupa

Before Buddhism, great teachers were buried in mounds. Some were cremated, but sometimes they were buried in a seated, meditative position. The mound of earth covered them up. Thus, the domed shape of the stupa came to represent a person seated in meditation, much as the Buddha was when he achieved Enlightenment and knowledge of the Four Noble Truths. The base of the stupa represents his crossed legs as he sat in a meditative pose. The middle portion is the Buddha’s body, and the top of the mound, where a pole rises from the apex surrounded by a small fence, represents his head. Before images of the human Buddha were created, reliefs often depicted practitioners demonstrating devotion to a stupa.
