About Our Statue:
This Wisdom Bodhisattva Maha Manjushri statue stands 5.7” (14.5 cm) tall with a 5.5” (14 cm) broad base and weighs 0.64 kg. Expertly handcrafted from oxidized copper, the statue features a rich patina that enhances its sacred presence and traditional aesthetic. Designed with care by skilled artisans, this statue is a refined representation of Manjushri, the embodiment of transcendent wisdom. Perfect for study areas, meditation spaces, or spiritual collections, it serves as a source of inspiration and clarity.
Maha Manjushri sits serenely in the lotus pose, his swirling scarf dancing around him like a gentle breeze. Atop his head rests a five-pointed crown, symbolizing the enlightened minds of the Five Dhyani Buddhas. In his upper right hand, he brandishes the fiery sword of wisdom, ready to slice through ignorance. His lower right hand grips an arrow, sharp and focused, while his upper left holds a bow, together embodying skillful means. The lower left hand offers generosity in varada mudra, from which a lotus stem rises, cradling the sacred Prajñāpāramitā text at his shoulder. This statue beautifully captures Manjushri’s essence as the Bodhisattva of profound insight and transcendent wisdom.
Maha Manjushri is a revered bodhisattva in Mahayana Buddhism, known as the embodiment of transcendent wisdom. His name means "Gentle Glory." He is considered one of the oldest and most significant bodhisattvas, often invoked for clarity of mind, deep understanding, and eloquence.
In Buddhist tradition, Maha Manjushri represents the awakened wisdom of all the Buddhas. He is especially honored by scholars, monks, and students seeking deeper knowledge and spiritual realization.
Introduction To Manjushri :
Manjushri means "very auspicious" in Sanskrit. Manjushri, one of the most famous compassion bodhisattvas, is particularly revered among Tibetan Buddhists. He, as the Buddha Resplendent, resembles a brilliant sun. Manjushri is a Tibetan name that means "good companion." He also represents the Kadampa Buddhist tradition, recognized by its scholars.
How do you take care of your statues?
• Place them at room temperature, avoiding direct sunlight.
• Make sure that the area where your statue is placed is entirely free of moisture and dust.
• Place it at the highest place on your altar after being consecrated by a Lama/monks. The best practice is to keep them covered inside a glass cabinet.
• Do not use your bare hands or any objects with a rough surface to wipe the face. Directly touching objects with the bare hand can smudge the face, leaving scratches.
