We depicted Mother Tara sitting atop a moon disc lotus seat in a vajra posture, with one face and two hands, three eyes on her face, and an eye on each palm of her hands and feet, for a total of seven. The right hand rests across the knee in the gesture (mudra) of supreme generosity. The left hand holds to the heart the stem of a white lotus blossoming at the left ear. She is adorned with a tiara, necklaces, gold, and jewel ornaments, and wears silk garments.
White Tara is known as the Female Buddha in the Buddhist tradition. White Tara appears in the form of a female Bodhisattva and goddess, offering benefits to every living being. All the Buddhas granted her empowerment from ten directions, for which she became The GREAT MOTHER, from whom all the Buddhas spring forth, and one who possesses transcendental wisdom.
Introduction to White Tara:
Tara Sita emerges as a beacon of purity and peace within the intricate tapestry of Buddhist legend. She embodies the nurturing attributes of the feminine divine and is often regarded as a manifestation of compassion and protection. Her presence is believed to guide people through difficulties, fostering resilience and a healthy balance in their lives. As you welcome this Tara Sita statue into your home, may it serve as a constant source of inspiration, reminding you of the peace and wisdom that exist within, waiting to assist you on your spiritual journey.
How do you take care of your statues?
• Place them at room temperature, avoiding direct sunlight.
• Make sure that the area where your statue is placed is entirely free of moisture and dust.
• Place it at the highest place on your altar after being consecrated by a Lama/monks. The best practice is to keep them covered inside a glass cabinet.
• Do not use your bare hands or any objects with a rough surface to wipe the face. Directly touching objects with the bare hand can smudge the face, leaving scratches.
