About Our Statue

This Handmade Vajradhara with Consort Oxidized Statue measures 5.7” (14.5 cm) in height and 4.5” (11.5 cm) at the base, weighing 0.77 kg. Crafted from oxidized copper, it reflects traditional Himalayan artistry with a subdued, antique-like appearance. Depicting Vajradhara in union with his consort, the statue symbolizes the inseparable union of wisdom and compassion. Expertly handcrafted by skilled Nepali artisans, it makes a meaningful addition to altars, meditation spaces, or spiritual collections.

In this depiction, Vajradhara is shown holding a vajra in his right hand and a bell in his left, crossed at the heart in a gesture that symbolizes the union of method (upāya) and wisdom (prajñā)—a foundational principle in Vajrayana Buddhism. His red consort, Bhagavani, embraces him in a symbolic union, holding a curved knife and a skull cup (kapala), which represent the fierce compassion that severs ignorance and transforms obstacles into wisdom. Together, their iconography embodies the realization of the ultimate truth through non-duality, expressing the profound essence of tantric practice.

The Holder of the Thunderbolt, Vajradhara, represents the ultimate Buddha nature and embodies the essence of Tantric Buddhism. Vajradhara, seated in intense meditation, embodies the unchanging and indestructible attributes of wisdom and compassion. United with his consort Bhagavani, their presence together signifies the profound harmony of wisdom and method—the central principle of Vajrayana practice. While Vajradhara embodies the enlightened mind's unshakable clarity and power, Bhagavani complements this by representing the dynamic and compassionate aspects of enlightenment. This statue connects believers to the fundamental essence of Buddhism, making it a vital element for deep contemplation and meditative reflection.

How do you take care of your statues?

• Place them at room temperature, avoiding direct sunlight.
• Make sure that the area where your statue is placed is entirely free of moisture and dust.
• Place it at the highest place on your altar after being consecrated by a Lama/monks. The best practice is to keep them covered inside a glass cabinet.
• Do not use your bare hands or any objects with a rough surface to wipe the face.
• Directly touching objects with the bare hand can smudge the face, leaving scratches.
