About Our Product
The Tibetan Vajrasattva Deity Statue is a powerful representation of Vajrasattva, the Buddha of purification and transformation. Crafted with precision from copper, this statue depicts Vajrasattva seated in a meditative pose, holding a vajra (diamond scepter) in his right hand and a bell in his left, which symbolize the union of wisdom and method. Vajrasattva is revered in Tibetan Buddhism for his role in purifying negative karma, offering a pathway to spiritual growth and inner purification.
The intricate copper body of the statue highlights Vajrasattva's serene expression, a symbol of purity and enlightenment. The design is rich with spiritual meaning, and the vajra he holds represents indestructible power, while the bell signifies the wisdom that accompanies all actions. Vajrasattva’s presence is a reminder of the power of purification in both spiritual and daily life, and his image is often used in tantric practices to clear obstacles and karmic imprints.
This Handcrafted Tibetan Vajrasattva Deity Statue is perfect for meditation spaces, altars, or as a meaningful gift for those on a path of purification and spiritual awakening. It embodies the qualities of purification, wisdom, and transformation, making it an essential piece for anyone seeking to deepen their spiritual journey and overcome inner obstacles. Vajrasattva's calming presence serves as an inspiring symbol of growth, clarity, and the transformative power of compassion.
Introduction of Vajrasattva
Vajrasattva is revered as the second patriarch in the Shingon Buddhist lineage, following Vairocana Buddha. According to Kukai's writings in Record of the Dharma Transmission, Nagarjuna encountered Vajrasatva in an iron tower in southern India, a detail supported by Amoghavajra's testimony. The Mahavairocana Sutra states that Vajrasatva imparted esoteric teachings learned from Vairocana to Nagarjuna and initiated him into the abhiseka ritual. Kukai notes that Vajrasatva bestowed the vajra and bell upon Nagarjuna, enabling him to realize the unity of wisdom and skillful means.
