Tibetans acquired Anatomical Knowledge in Tibet from the the examination of Corpses at the sky-burial Sites .

The corpses were dissected , the bones were crushed and, in religious rites the body's constituent elements were offered to vultures and other birds of prey.

This particular painting depicts the circulation of blood throughout the body.
