About Our Statue :
This exquisitely crafted Shakyamuni Buddha Statue in Gold-Gilded, produced in Nepal from a solid copper body and embellished with 24K gold gilding, will bring a calm presence and grounded knowledge to your spiritual space. This statue, which stands 12.6 inches tall and weighs 2.62 kg, depicts the Buddha sitting under the Bodhi tree in the Bhumisparsha Mudra, or "earth-touching" gesture that represents enlightenment. The balance of body, mind, and spirit is reflected in the deep, dark robes, gold accents, and serene appearance.
This sculpture makes an attractive focus point for prayer, meditation, or reflection. The historical founder of Buddhism, Shakyamuni Buddha, is a symbol of enlightenment and freedom from pain. This statue is perfect for home altars, shrines, or sacred areas in need of grace and awareness, thanks to its hand-painted details and well-balanced proportions, which offer both visual elegance and spiritual significance.
While the phrase "Happy Buddha" conjures up ideas of the laughing, rotund figure known as Budai, our interpretation depicts Shakyamuni Buddha in a moment of complete pleasure. Shakyamuni, also known as Siddhartha Gautama, is the Buddha who discovered the road to enlightenment and spent his life teaching others how to follow in his footsteps. This one-of-a-kind portrayal emphasizes his bright joy, reminding us that enlightenment is about more than simply profound realization; it is also about deep happiness and inner calm.
Introduction to Shakyamuni Buddha:
Siddhartha Gautama was raised as a king, according to his father's wishes, and was born the crown prince of the mighty Shakya Kingdom. When he was about 29, he learned of people's immense suffering. He renounced his palatial lifestyle, lavish clothing, and fortune to discover the source of his anguish and find a cure. After over six years of study, self-denial, and tremendous concentration, he finally achieved his objective. He had attained nirvana (a Buddha). He then asserted that he had visited a deer park outside of Varanasi, India's Sarnath (Benares).
How do you take care of your statues?
• Place them at room temperature, avoiding direct sunlight.
• Make sure that the area where your statue is placed is entirely free of moisture and dust.
• Place it at the highest place on your altar after being consecrated by the Lama/monks. The best practice is to keep them covered inside a glass cabinet.
• Do not use your bare hands or any objects with a rough surface to wipe the face.
• Directly touching objects with the bare hand can smudge the face, leaving scratches.
