The Fasting Shakyamuni Buddha is shown in a tranquil, meditative seated posture, symbolizing his profound spiritual journey to enlightenment. The image of his skeletal form serves as a compelling reminder of his severe practices and the significant sacrifices he made in his search for truth. Buddha's meditation pose represents mastery over body and mind, inner serenity, and ultimate enlightenment. This statue is a continual reminder of the Buddha's teachings on compassion, detachment, and the value of meditation in achieving spiritual enlightenment. Its gold-plated finish adds a layer of divine light, making this Buddha a potent spiritual talisman.
Introduction to Shakyamuni Buddha :
Siddhartha Gautama was raised as a king by the wishes of his royal father and was born the crown prince of the mighty Shakya Kingdom. When he was about 29 years old, he learned of people's immense suffering. He renounced his palatial lifestyle, lavish clothing, and fortune to discover the source of the anguish and find a cure. After over six years of study, self-denial, and tremendous concentration, he finally achieved his objective. He had attained nirvana (a Buddha). He then asserted that he had visited a deer park outside of Varanasi, India's Sarnath (Benares).
How do you take care of your statues?
• Place them at room temperature, avoiding direct sunlight.
• Make sure that the area where your statue is placed is completely free of moisture and dust.
• Place it at the highest place on your altar after being consecrated by Lama/monks. The best practice is to keep them covered inside a glass cabinet.
• Do not use your bare hands or any objects with a rough surface to wipe the face. • Directly touching objects with the bare hand can smudge the face, leaving scratches.
