About Our Product
This Gold Plated Enlightenment Stupa is a magnificent Tibetan Buddhist shrine artwork crafted from a copper body with gold plating and hand-carved turquoise and coral gemstone embellishments. Measuring 51.5 cm in height, 26.5 cm in length, and 26.5 cm in width, with a weight of 5.29 kg, this sacred stupa represents the Buddha’s awakening and the triumph of wisdom over ignorance. Designed for Buddhist altars, meditation spaces, temples, and spiritual collections, it reflects the rich artistic heritage of Himalayan craftsmanship.
The stupa features an elaborately decorated multi-tiered base, intricate ornamental patterns, and a beautifully crafted central structure with sacred details throughout. At the center of the lower section, a Vishvavajra (Double Vajra) motif is carved as a symbol of indestructible wisdom, stability, and the unshakable nature of enlightened awareness. Surrounding the Vishvavajra on both sides are carved snow lions, representing fearlessness, strength, and protection in Tibetan Buddhist tradition. The mythical Cheppu motif adds another layer of protective symbolism, while the hand-carved turquoise and coral gemstones placed throughout the stupa enhance its sacred beauty and traditional Himalayan artistry.
In Buddhist tradition, the Enlightenment Stupa is one of the Eight Great Stupas and commemorates the Buddha’s realization of perfect awakening under the Bodhi tree. It symbolizes liberation, wisdom, and the transformation of the mind beyond suffering. Displayed in a sacred space, this gold plated stupa becomes a meaningful reminder of enlightenment, protection, devotion, and the continuous journey toward spiritual awakening.
Introduction To Stupa :
Before Buddhism, great teachers were buried in mounds. Some were cremated, but sometimes they were buried in a seated, meditative position. The mound of earth covered them up. Thus, the domed shape of the stupa came to represent a person seated in meditation, much as the Buddha was when he achieved Enlightenment and knowledge of the Four Noble Truths. The base of the stupa represents his crossed legs as he sat in a meditative pose. The middle portion is the Buddha’s body, and the top of the mound, where a pole rises from the apex surrounded by a small fence, represents his head. Before images of the human Buddha were created, reliefs often depicted practitioners demonstrating devotion to a stupa.
